Making a bead ‘float’ using crimp beads

Making a bead float 1

Step 1:
String on steel wire or nylon wire a crimp bead and fasten it on the desired place by squeezing it thoroughly with flat nose pliers.

Step 2:
String on the wire a regular bead and another crimp bead. Place the bead and the second crimp bead tightly against the first crimp bead.

Step 3:
Fasten the second crimp bead by squeezing it with the flat nose pliers.

Step 4:
The regular bead is now ‘trapped’ between the two fastened crimp beads. In order to make the most use of the ‘floating’ bead effect, leave enough room in between the various ‘floating’ beads.

Tip!
If you use transparent nylon wire, the beads will truly appear to be floating.
